The Kickstarter for Anubis: Dog of Death #2 is in full swing, so I wanted to show off some cool details from what we have of Issue #2 so far. We might as well start off at the very start, with panel one of page one.

When I first started promoting my comic Anubis: Dog of Death at the end of October last year, I got an interesting comment on Instagram.
John Barry Ballaran is a 2D digital artist based in the Philippines, specializing in drawing and painting character art.
He has worked as an in-house artist for several studios in the past, with jobs ranging from creating background art for games; animating sprites; designing logos; arranging wedding album layouts; drawing traditional portraiture, creating print ads and storyboards for advertisements – basically any job that comes up to help pay the bills.

About a year ago, I wrote a script for a Doctor Who comic book where the titular alien time traveler The Doctor from the BBC TV show, meets the music legend David Bowie, and then they battle robots with sick guitar jams!
