Anubis Concept Art

These are some early pieces of concept art for the main character of Anubis: Dog of Death.

In Ancient Egypt, people often associated Anubis with jackals, due to their penchant for scavenging the meat of corpses in the graveyards, so John made our Anubis look much more like a jackal than most representations of the god, with much more fur than the smooth obsidian look he is often portrayed with.

InterRail 2010 – Part 13: Nancy

After visiting Paris, I started heading south, toward Italy.

I was going to take the train through Switzerland to get there, so I had to change trains in the French town of Nancy.

I had some time to kill before my train departed, so I decided to have a look around.

.

A thing I saw that really caught my attention is a sculpture I think I have identified as a World War I Moselle memorial, but I could not find anything concrete online to be sure, and I failed to get the plaque in the picture.

I like the symbolism of a golden heart atop a mass of blackened hearts, even if I fail to draw the connection to World War I.

.

I did not have enough time to see very much of the town, but what I saw seemed peaceful and beautiful, and I am glad I got to see a different side to France than just Paris before I left the country.

But just as soon as I had arrived, I was on my way to Switzerland!

4 Animated NSP Songs

Sometimes, a normal live-action music video cannot do justice to a Ninja Sex Party song.

Thank god for animation!

Rhinoceratops vs. Superpuma

This was animated by Rug Burn.

Everybody Shut Up

It was animated by Gregzilla.

Peppermint Creams

This is the only unofficial video I have included here, but the animation was so imaginative that it earned it.

It was animated by Shoocharu.

I Won a Pop Culture Award

A few days ago, Ruth from Silver Screenings held The Silver Screenings Awards over on their website.

This is an award that they hand out to various bloggers they like, from time to time.

When it comes to awards in the blogging community, one has to be specific.

This is not a chain letter interview-award.

I do appreciate getting those aswell, as it can be fun answering questions, but I don’t think that those should have been given the name “award”.

How about “chain-interview”?

No. This is a more conventional award, with several winners in different categories.

And I won in the Pop Culture category!  Thanks Ruth 😀

.

Since part of the reason for getting this reward was my varied output of posts, I decided I would link to a few of my pop culture posts about various forms of media.

Of course, if you are more interested in one subject than another, clicking on a posts category tag should help you find even more of what you are interested in.

I hope you enjoy.

Incoming Comic Patreon

I have been spending some time lately setting up a Patreon-page for my upcoming comic that I mentioned here earlier. It is a lot of work figuring it all out, but I think it will be worth it.

Patreon is a crowdfunding website that lets people support creators who make cool stuff.

I have been signed up for a few years, mostly supporting some YouTubers I like.

I am one of many $1 supporters, which makes up the majority of the income for these full-time online entertainers.

I am making the Patreon-page more by necessity than anything else.

I have a very talented artist working on the art, but

I can only afford to pay him for one page each month
