10. When Will My Life Begin from Tangled
Almost a year ago, I shared my favorite song from each ‘Miracle of Sound’ album.
I later made a Top 10 or Top 5 list for each album, depending on how big the album was to begin with.
In December of 2005, after just having discovered Doctor Who, I was watching the show’s behind-the-scenes spin-off show, Doctor Who Confidential.
This is a video I made for the Jonathan Coulton song ‘Just As Long As Me’ in December of 2010.
It features pictures of the very tall and very funny comedian Stephen Merchant.
I first discovered “the 4th most popular folk comedy duo in New Zealand” through listening to their first studio album on repeat with a friend while we were having a long drive to a cabin trip in 2010.
This is a video I made over ten years ago, featuring Jonathan Coulton’s folksy soft-rock cover of Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You’, the 52nd and final song he did for his Thing-A-Week project.
Merry Christmas, and a happy new year to you all!
I would like to gift you a bunch of links to Christmas and New Year’s Eve related posts I have made in the past.
Are you tired of the same old Christmas songs on the radio?
I’ve got you covered!
This song is a cry for help Christmas letter from a family that is being held against their will protected by evil robots giant metal Santa Claus’.
As we are closing in on this year’s Halloween, I wanted to share some of my favorite horror songs. Turns out, almost all of them were made by Jonathan Coulton.
Jonathan Coulton was born on the 1st of December 1970 in New Haven, Connecticut.
He had hopes of becoming a musician from a young age. So while studying for his Bachelor of Arts degree at Yale University, he was part of several bands with fellow students. Most notably the collegiate a capella group The Yale Whiffenpoofs.
Back in February, I shared my favorite song from each ‘Miracle of Sound’ album.
This proved to be very difficult, as there are so many great songs there!
So I have decided to make a Top 10 or Top 5 list for each album, depending on how big the album is to begin with.
5. Welcome To The Family
Â
Between September 2005 and September 2006, singer-songwriter Jonathan Coulton produced and released one song each week, in an attempt to keep himself occupied after having quit his job as a software programmer to focus on his music career.
