Not long ago, archeologists in Bergen (Norway) discovered a mystery die from 1276.
It is a normal six-sided die, but the numbers are not the normal 1 to 6.

Most know that they should check their email spam-folder, but if you run a blog you also need to remember to check the spam-folder for your comments.
I just checked the folder for the first time in a month, and there were six comments from regular commenters, and apart from that there were only three actual spam comments.
I gave this post that title mostly so that I will be reminded to check each time I see it 😉
One of these comments was from the blogger petrel41, who invited me to take part in The Real Neat Blog Award.
Here are the questions, and my answers:
1. Where do most visits to your blog come from?
Reddit, and at the moment, one single post on Reddit, as I have over 6000 views on my Thanos post from there.
Reddit can be a good way to reach a big audience, but they will likely only read whatever is linked to before returning to Reddit. And you may have to withstand some snarky comments there, even when the post is generally upvoted.
Better to reach a returning audience. A few of them may return, so it could be worth it.
2. What is your favourite sport?
In 1997 I, my younger sister, my father and my mother all stayed at a cabin in Finse, a small mountain village in Hordaland county, Norway. Also known as Hoth.
These two movies, alongside ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ and the next 2019 Avengers film, were all directed by Anthony and Joseph Russo.
‘Avengers: Infinity War’, the most recent film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was just released, and it was wonderful!
If you are someone who has not indulged in the Marvel films yet, this 10-year anniversary is not the best place to start, as it is somewhat of a naval-gazing celebration of the world that Marvel Studios have created over the years, and therefore a bit confusing to newcomers.
If you have time, you should see all the 18 movies that preceded ‘Infinity War’ before seeing it.
But if you don’t have that much time to spare, here are the four movies I think you need to see to get an appreciation for what people love about these films.
This was the culmination of Iron Man 1 & 2, The Incredible Hulk, Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger.
Despite being the sixth movie in a series, you can easily start here, as the film-makers anticipated a much bigger turnout for this film than the others, and therefore made it easily accessible for new viewers.
I would also still rank this as the best of the movies, but only barely as the latest films have all been incredible. By watching this one first, you can pretty quickly find out if this series is something for you or not.
2 – Guardians of the Galaxy
I watched the new Marvel movie ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ a few days ago, and I have a few thoughts about its main villain Thanos, and his relationship with his “adopted daughter” Gamora.
Beware mild spoilers for ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’!
When I first started blogging, I read some advice that said I should find a niche, and stick with it. In fact, I have read a variation on that advice several times.
But by diversifying your writing, you get people with different interests talking to each other.
It can be interesting to hear about a subject from a person who don’t normally engage with the culture around that subject.
And I am not just my photographies, my taste in movies, my fiction-writing, my past, or my cooking.
I am all of these things, and much more.
I write about all the things I love and care about; be it games, art, my girlfriend, food or music.
My niche is me.
Ortensia from Truly Madly Ordinary Stories From The Heart has made a new blogger-award for Scandinavian bloggers; named ‘Sunshine Nordic Little Thoughts’.
Like all “blogger awards”, it works like a chain letter.
Answer a question, then tag other people to answer the question aswell.
Name three things that pops into your mind when you are walking in the sun.
I have been nominated by Lana Cole for this Sunshine Blogger Award!
It seems more like an interview than an award, but I’m sure I’m missing something 😛
Thanks Lana 😀
Here are the rules for being nominated…
Here are my answers to the questions Lana posed:
1. Twizzlers or Red Vines? We don’t have those in Norway, so Seigmenn.
2. Favorite super hero? Why you got to do me like this? There are so many good ones!
It would probably be someone from Marvel, but narrowing it down to just one is pretty hard.
Part of what makes that world great is how different characters interact, anyway.
3. =&2=&
Damn, these are hard.
Probably not any I actually enjoy, as there is usually peril in those.
If I can cheat and go with a TV-show, I’ll pick ‘Pushing Daisies’.
Only almost entirely pleasant world that came to mind at the moment.
4. If you could travel in time, would you go to the future or the past and why? The past, as I would know what I was landing in. In the future, the spot you arrive might be incredible dangerous at that time. When going to the past, you could check for dangers before leaving.

After my post on why you should play games, Sammy and/or Sufi of The Cozy Home Chronicles asked me what my gaming backlog of unfinished games looked like.
I started writing a reply, but after 250 words I decided the topic deserved a full-fledged blog-post all to itself.
.
Gaming backlogs are a common problem in today’s society. They are much like that pile of books on your shelf that you have never gotten around to. You know that you should consume them at some point, but reading a book (or playing a game) is such a huge time-investment that many titles go un-read (or un-played) for years (or forever).
.
Turn back now, if you wish to avoid time-sinks!
For the rest, here is my gaming backlog:
.
.
I am currently playing the Minerva’s Den dlc (downloadable content) for Bioshock 2, for the first time, so that I can listen to the new Watch Out For Fireballs podcast episode about it. After that I’ll play Thimbleweed Park and Transistor, for the same reason.
If you want to know more about WOFF, I wrote about them and my two other favorite podcasts here.
.
I have played 5 hours of Prey, and will go back to that once I finish the ones I am playing for the game-bookclub
I’m mostly finished with Heroes Of Might And Magic 3, need to retire that one soon. I played HOMM3 as a child, so this was just a nostalgia-dive for me.
.
Then I’m planning to try to Twitch-stream a short game, namely What Remains of Edith Finch.
Twitch is a platform where gamers can stream gameplay, audio and video to a live audience. I have never done it before, so I think it’s smart to start with a small game.
.
I also have The Black Watchmen, Uncharted 2-4, Fallout 1-2, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Bloodborne, Invisible Inc, DOOM, Wolfenstein: The New Order, XCOM 2, Dishonored 1-2, Hotline Miami 1-2, Dark Souls 3, The Sly Trilogy and probably some I have forgotten.
That comes to a total of
28 games to play on my own
Lana Cole of Welcome To Our Campfire has tagged me to play this sort of pass-it-forward blog-game. Thanks Lana! 😀
The Rules: Thank the nominator (oh, I already did that), display the picture on your post, list five things you like about yourself (one thing must be a physical attribute) and tag three or more people.

1] I have always been creative and imaginative, but only recently have I started trying to get this imagination out of my own skull, to share with all of you.
2] I think I may be a good boyfriend. She keeps telling me so, at least 🙂
3] I am generally pretty happy with the way I look overall, only that I could stand to lose some belly fat. But I am a chef after all, so at least it is on-brand. But for health-reasons, if nothing else.
4] I think I have a good taste in fiction from some diverse media. Taste is pretty subjective anyway, but I feel like I could recommend something good in whatever media anyone likes the best.
5] For the most part, I am good at not meeting trouble halfway, or being a worrywart. It has happened that I have let my worries take the better of me, but for the most part I manage to be pretty calm about potential future problems.

=&2=&wrote this post, which is the main reason I started blogging in the first place. I came across his blog while researching ways I could sell a card-game I had made. I have put that particular project on ice for now, but I am so glad Jamey got me to start this blog. I never knew I had this much to say and share!
=&3=& is a great movie-blog, and I am very grateful that they invited me to take part in The Time Travel Blogathon. Some of the most fun I have had with blogging so far.
=&4=& of Walkin’, Writin’, Wit and Whimsy takes a lot of nice photographs during her walks around Southeast Michigan. That, combined with her writing, makes for a great blog!

For some gamers, it can be difficult to realize that not everyone understands their hobby. Gaming has grown so much in popularity that it can now safely be considered mainstream, so it is easy to overlook that there are still many people baffled by the popularity of this media.
So this article is for those of you who don’t quite know why you should play video games, but is interested in finding out.
