We all know that marketing firms have been in the pocket of Big Dragon for decades.
But what you may not know, is how marketers utilize their skills in service of the dragons.
My January In Blogging
This month I have let my writing suffer, as a result of trying to market my blog.
I don’t think any of the blog-posts I made this month holds a candle to my best articles.
I have put blog-posts on StumbleUpon and Scoop. It, I’ve joined a few blog-groups on Facebook, I’ve made a Pinterest profile and I spent an ungodly time researching and trying to take part in blog-parties (only to find out that blog-parties favours DIY and homemaking types of blogs, not the type of pop-culture stuff I like to write about).
And as I have neglected actually writing long cool articles, I have been largely unable to tap into my previously biggest viewer source, Reddit.
I have even neglected finishing my comic book script, after finishing the rough draft.
I hope that some of the groundwork I did this month will have been worth it.
I already feel happy about having a Pinterest profile up and running, and I don’t think I would have made it if I had not read some of the stuff I read on those Facebook groups, so some of it was valuable.
But for now, I kind of feel like I wasted this blogging-month.
