Here’s a poem inspired by my comic, Anubis: Dog of Death.
Anubis The God
Once ruled over death
His mother was Nephthys
And his father was Seth
His power exceeded most gods in the land
Only Ra, god of life
Was considered more grand
But gods get their power
From faithful believers
And their own human subjects
Are fickle deceivers
Anubis The God no longer exists
But Anubis The Dog is now in our midst
