I saw some similarities between one of the pictures my mother sent me from when I was ten, and another my girlfriend took of me after a hike this summer, so I decided I would combine them into one image, alongside one of my favorite quotes from Doctor Who.
I am ten in the first image, 28 in the second.
The quote is from the Fourth Doctor story ‘Robot’, from 1975.

I love Dr. Seuss … full of wisdom and wit, something the world could thrive on right now. 🙂
He is not really that big in Norway, the first Seuss thing I was exposed to were the live-action Grinch movie from 2000, starring Jim Carrey.
But I understand that he is sort of like the American version of Roald Dahl, one of my favorite writers.
I’ve never seen the Grinch movie with Jim Carrey, but at Christmastime here, all the kids shows are on (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Frosty and Charlie Brown’s Christmas) so Dr. Seuss is popular for the Grinch. He actually wrote more than just the kid’s books, just not as well known for his other works. I love his quotes.
I liked it when I was a kid, but I have heard it is terrible compared to those you mentioned 😛
