Doctor Brady Haran had done many great things before conquering the South Pole.
He had started countless educational YouTube-channels, made the worlds best podcast Hello Internet with his robot pal CGP Grey, received an honorary doctorate and climbed Mount Everest!
As an avid admirer of Captain Robert Falcon Scott, Doctor Haran knew that he would be following in some big footsteps.
Doctor Haran knew that to reach his destination, he would have to choose the best of companions:

The Unmade Podcast usually revolves around Brady Haran and his co-host Tim Hein talking about different ideas for podcasts that they could, but won’t, make.
This episode is different, as it is more of a travel documentary, with audio intercut with video and pictures that Brady took during the trip.
I have been wanting to share that video here since I saw it two weeks ago, so I hope you give it a shot.

We are still immersed in this ugly weather … we’ve had over 3 inches of rain in less than 36 hours and just finished our 4th thunderstorm in the same time period. It messed up my walking and writing this weekend – grrrr to Mother Nature.

We have been pretty lucky with the weather here in Bergen lately, despite our city being nicknamed “The Rainy City”.
Didn’t know Bergen was nicknamed “The Rainy City” – I would think more along the line of a snow nickname. Our Michigan weather is horrible this Spring, and we had 3 inches of rain in 36 hours and are scheduled for rain off-and-on until this Thursday.
Bergen is not very snowy compared to the rest of Norway :p
But this past winter was pretty snowy for us.
I didn’t know that – I figured it was snowy there – must brush up on my geography. 🙂 We got 61 inches of snow here in SE Michigan this Winter and that was much more than our usual snowfall. I hope it is not setting a new trend. I’m going to pass along my post that I did earlier this week as it contained two photos of Norway in it – first two from the first leg of my trip: Merchant’s Quay and Myrdal Valley … your homeland – 8 years before you were born!
