My January In Blogging

SindrElf blogging in January

This month I have let my writing suffer, as a result of trying to market my blog.

I don’t think any of the blog-posts I made this month holds a candle to my best articles.

I have put blog-posts on StumbleUpon and Scoop. It, I’ve joined a few blog-groups on Facebook, I’ve made a Pinterest profile and I spent an ungodly time researching and trying to take part in blog-parties (only to find out that blog-parties favours DIY and homemaking types of blogs, not the type of pop-culture stuff I like to write about).

And as I have neglected actually writing long cool articles, I have been largely unable to tap into my previously biggest viewer source, Reddit.

I have even neglected finishing my comic book script, afterΒ finishing the rough draft.

I hope that some of the groundwork I did this month will have been worth it.

I already feel happy about having a Pinterest profile up and running, and I don’t think I would have made it if I had not read some of the stuff I read on those Facebook groups, so some of it was valuable.

But for now, I kind of feel like I wasted this blogging-month.

  1. I’m certain the groundwork you did this month will pay off. It sounds like you did some valuable research, even if some of the results may not have been what you expected.

If you’re looking for something a little unusual – and if this is not your thing, that’s OK – we’d love to have you join us for a Time Travel Blogathon in March. Details from my co-host are here: http://widescreenworld.blogspot.ca/2018/01/time-is-on-your-side-in-time-travel.html

    1. Oh yeah, I did see that earlier!
Thinking about it a bit more now, I would love to join! πŸ˜€

      Groundhog Day, then Source Code.
Or maybe both in one post, as they are quite linked.

*Edit: Groundhog Day turns out to be today, so that will be my blog-post for today. So just Source Code, alluding back to Groundhog Day at times.*

What is expected in approximate length and content?
I’d hate to underdo it (or even overdo it).

      1. Woohoo! We’d love to have you join us for The Time Travel Blogathon, and in March I will link back to your post today. “Groundhog Day” is a terrific choice – I’m glad you selected it. There is no word limit, and we want to read about your impressions of the film, especially the “time travel” aspect.

        1. Turns out; Groundhog Day is today πŸ˜›
So I think I will write about that today, then go for Source Code for the blogathon, and just mention what connects it to Groundhog.
It is also sort of connected to Edge of Tomorrow, so those two could be linked.
